Australian Shepherd - Smokey Lonesome - Medium - Adult - Male
Adoption Fee: $110 Adoption fee includes neuter, deworming, up to date vaccinations, negative heartworm and receiving heartworm preventative, and a one year TBAR membership. Smokey Lonesome wandered up to a family's home in Chappell Hill and decided that he would just live with the kind people who would feed him. But this family was unable to give him a home due to their extensive traveling and didn't want to leave him homeless. They could tell from his behavior that he had very likely been abused so they contacted TBAR who ended up having a foster home step up for Smokey. Smokey was approximately born on November 1, and is an Australian Shepherd. When he was with the family who found him, he was very fearful of new people and things, especially the leash. He is now being fostered by a dog trainer who has been able to work with Smokey on his fears to help him find a perfect forever home. He has been adjusting well and loves his foster parents very much. He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, received a negative heartworm result and has began his search for his forever family. Someone looking to adopt Smokey should be able to provide daily exercise. Aussies are working dogs who need a job or way to release the energy they would have pent up if they are not working. They range from medium to high energy level dogs and should have a fenced back yard where they can release their energy by playing and running or be taken on daily runs or to the local dog park. For more information on adopting Smokey Lonesome or any other TBAR adoptable animal, please email [email removed] or call (936)878- and leave a voicemail. TBAR is volunteer run and will respond to your message at the volunteer's earliest convenience.
